Joe Magnini Patriot Scholarship

A scholarship fund was established in 2013 to honor the memory of our friend and Member Services colleague, Joe Magnini. This scholarship is designed to encourage and assist high school seniors with their educational pursuits. The student’s parents/guardians must be cooperative members to apply. Applications are available at our headquarters office located at 4818 Highway 8 West, Arkadelphia, or may be downloaded below. The deadline to apply is March 1st for the fall semester. South Central Scholarships

This scholarship aims to provide financial support to students in South Central’s service territory. These Scholarship Awards have been established to honor the support of our co-op and its mission. Our mission is to provide low-cost, reliable electric energy and related services which improves the quality of life for the members and communities we serve through our well-trained and dedicated employees. Purpose

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide college awards to students in South Central's service territory. These Scholarship Awards have been established to honor the support of our Co-Op and it's mission. Our mission is to provide low cost, reliable electric energy and related services which improves the quality of life for the members and communities we serve through our well trained and dedicated employees.

Awards

Up to five undergraduate scholarship awards are available in amounts up to $1000 annually, these are for one year only, but recipients may re-apply for a second year. All scholarship awards will be paid directly to the recipient's institution of choice.

Eligibility

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate students attending or enrolling in the upcoming semester.
Applicants must be US citizens.
Applicants must live in South Central Electric’s or South Central Connect’s current service territory.
Applicants may attend a 4 year traditional institution or a trade school.
Applicants must have a minimum required cumulative GPA of 3.00.

The Scholarship Awards are awarded without regard to race, sex, religion, age, national origin or sexual orientation. South Central will not award scholarships to applicants who are not qualified and we reserve the right not to award a scholarship in a given year.

Application Requirements

To be considered for a South Central Scholarship Award, applicants must complete an application and return it to us by April 1st. The application must include:

A completed application form. Only completed application forms will be considered.
Two letters of recommendation with at least one from a teacher or school official.
An official transcript for the last two years including GPA.
A one page (< 500 words) statement stating the applicant's qualifications and educational and career goals.

All four of the above items must be submitted before the application will be considered.

These Scholarship Awards have been established to honor the support of our Co-Op and it's mission. Our mission is to provide low cost, reliable electric energy and related services which improves the quality of life for the members and communities we serve through our well trained and dedicated employees.

Awards

One scholarship will be awarded for up to $1,500 annually. This for one year only, but recipients may re-apply for a second year. All scholarship awards will be paid directly to the recipient's institution of choice.

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or technical institute students attending or enrolling in the upcoming semester
Applicants must be US citizens.
Applicants must live in South Central Electric’s or South Central Connect’s current service territory.

Applicants must be US citizens.
Applicants must live in South Central Electric’s or South Central Connect’s current service territory.
Applicants may attend a 4 year traditional institution or a trade school.
Applicants must have a minimum required cumulative GPA of 3.00.

These Scholarship Awards have been established to honor the support of our Co-Op and it's mission. Our mission is to provide low cost, reliable electric energy and related services which improves the quality of life for the members and communities we serve through our well trained and dedicated employees.

Awards

South Central will choose 1 to 2 applications to send the the ASU High Voltage Lineman Technology program. The program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills needed to install, repair, service, and maintain electrical power lines and supporting equipment.

Eligibility

Applicants must be US citizens and have a valid drivers license.
Applicants must live in South Central Electric’s or South Central Connect’s current service territory.
Applicants must have a high diploma
Applicants have a preferred minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00.
