If you are a residential consumer age 65 or older, or if you are certified as having a permanent, severe mental or physical disability which limits your ability to pay your electric bill, South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative offers you the following service:

  • Your electricity will not be “shut off” when the National Weather Services forecasts a temperature of 95° F or higher or 32° F or lower.
  • At least 72 hours before disconnecting your service, South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative will make 2 attempts to contact you, or a person living in your household, to give notice of the pending “shut off” of service.
  • South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative will notify a third party, designated by you, that your electricity is subject to “shut off”.
