Pre-paid billing works the other way.<\/p>\n<p>The program allows you to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Choose how much and how often you want to pay before you use the electricity<\/li>\n<li>Control your budget and pay how much you want, when you want<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are no security deposits. You can buy energy to last for a few days or several months. Similar to filling up your gas tank, you can put small amounts every few days or you can \"fill up\" the tank.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t<\/article>\r\n\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\t<article id=\"post-39117\" class=\"accordion-item post-39117 hwcp-faqs type-hwcp-faqs status-publish hentry faqs_category-pay-as-you-go\">\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"#\" class=\"accordion-title plain\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<button class=\"toggle\"><i class=\"icon-angle-down\"><\/i><\/button>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t<span>Is Prepay the right choice for me?<\/span><\/a>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"accordion-inner\">\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Would it be easier for you to make daily, weekly or bi-weekly payments rather than one large payment each month?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepay works best for people who want to take control of their electric accounts and energy usage<\/li>\n<li>By monitoring your consumption on a regular basis, you will begin to notice patterns in your day-to-day usage<\/li>\n<li>Any variation from this pattern, such as a house guest (increase) or a vacation (decrease), will become evident as you monitor your account<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and controlling daily usage can help keep those electrical costs down<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Studies show prepay electricity programs help lower electric consumption due to member's awareness of usage patterns.<\/p>\n<p>Any member interested in monitoring and lowering their electricity usage would benefit from the Pay-As-You-Go program.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\t\t\t<\/article>\r\n\r\n\t\t\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n\r\n\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Moneygram<\/h2>\n<span class=\"scroll-to\" data-label=\"Scroll to: #moneygram\" data-bullet=\"false\" data-link=\"#moneygram\" data-title=\"Change this\" ><a name=\"moneygram\"><\/a><\/span>\n<p>South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative is now accepting payments through MoneyGram to be posted immediately to your utility account<\/p>\n<p>Follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.moneygram.com\/mgo\/us\/en\/locations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find a Moneygram location near you<\/a> (Arkadelphia Walmart is the closest in our service area)<\/li>\n<li>Bring these with you:\n<ul>\n<li>Cash &#8211; enough to pay your bill, plus the fee of $1.50 (issued by MoneyGram, not South Central)<\/li>\n<li>Your account number<\/li>\n<li>Receive code: 15144<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Fill out the Blue MoneyGram form to complete the transaction<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Your account will not be updated immediately after making this payment, but should within 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Extended Due Date<\/h2>\n<span class=\"scroll-to\" data-label=\"Scroll to: #extended\" data-bullet=\"false\" data-link=\"#extended\" data-title=\"Change this\" ><a name=\"extended\"><\/a><\/span>\n<p>The Extended Due Date Plan is available to qualifying residential customers and is intended to enable the Cooperative to change a customer&#8217;s bill due date, at the customer&#8217;s request, to coincide with the customer&#8217;s receipt of his or her income.<\/p>\n<p>Customers who qualify under this plan will not be considered delinquent, nor will their account be adversely affected by the Cooperative as long as they are an active participant and do not violate any conditions described for removal of the plan.<\/p>\n<h3>Eligibility<\/h3>\n<p>You may qualify for the Extended Due Date Plan if your primary source of income is from the following sources:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC)<\/li>\n<li>Aid to the Aged, Blind, and Disabled<\/li>\n<li>Supplemental Security Income<\/li>\n<li>Social Security<\/li>\n<li>Veterans Administration Disability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>To Apply<\/h3>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scaec.com\/your-account\/payment-options\/extended-due-date-form\/\" class=\"button primary is-primary is-medium\"  >\n    <span>Extended Due Date Plan Form<\/span>\n  <\/a>\n\n<p>Participation in the plan:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You may become a plan participant by written or verbal notification to the Cooperative<\/li>\n<li>The Cooperative will require verification of your income source and you will be required to furnish to the Cooperative a copy of your check receipt<\/li>\n<li>Participation will continue each month thereafter, as long as the account remains active and in good standing<\/li>\n<li>Any information provided to the Cooperative may be made part of the customer&#8217;s account record<\/li>\n<li>Extended Due Date only applies to customers whose check receipt date occurs after the normal bill due date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Removal from Plan<\/h3>\n<p>You may be removed from the Extended Due Date Plan if you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fail to pay your bill by the extended due date 2 times in a row or 3 times in the last 12 months<\/li>\n<li>Are disconnected for nonpayment of your account<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Customers who are removed from the Extended Due Date Plan may reapply for the Plan following a 12-month waiting period.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Collecting Banks<\/h2>\n<span class=\"scroll-to\" data-label=\"Scroll to: #collecting\" data-bullet=\"false\" data-link=\"#collecting\" data-title=\"Change this\" ><a name=\"collecting\"><\/a><\/span>\n<p>For our members&#8217;
