Frances D. Eason-Nelson has served on the South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative Board since 1995. She has completed all National Rural Electric Cooperative Association courses, making her a fully certified and credentialed director. She has also completed the NRECA Board Leadership Program. Frances has served as Secretary/Treasurer on the South Central Electric Board, and as a delegate on the Arkansas Electric Cooperatives Board of Directors. Frances was appointed to the State's Alternative Energy Board. She earned BSE and MSE degrees. She has served her community as a teacher for the Arkadelphia Public Schools, a school board member, along with numerous other school district organizations. Frances served as president for the Arkansas Association of Student Assistance Programs. She has served on the Clark County United Way Board, Arkadelphia Chamber of Commerce Board, Clark County Economic Development Board, and Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance. Frances is a charter member of Chi Nu Omega Graduate Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and Co-President of the Brown Springs-Mt. Morriah Outreach Center. She is employed at College of the Ouachitas and is a member of the Mt. Morriah Missionary Baptist Church. Frances and husband Terry have two children, son TJ (wife, Dr. Shanea' and daughter, Mary Grace) and daughter Desarae. The Nelsons live on a small farm in east Clark County.
