Frances Eason-Nelson, Secretary/Treasurer
Frances D. Eason-Nelson has served on the South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative Board of Directors for 22 years. She has completed all NRECA courses, receiving the Credentialed and Board Leadership Certificates, as well as Director Gold status. Previously, Frances is currently serving as the South Central Board Secretary/Treasurer. She has served on both the statewide AECI & AECC Boards. Frances was appointed to the State’s Alternative Energy Board. She attended the NRECA 2018 Annual Meeting and TechAdvantage Conference, along with the NRECA 2018 Washington Legislative Conference. She has earned both BSE and MSE degrees. She served as a teacher for the Arkadelphia Public Schools, a school board member, and with numerous school district organizations. Frances served as President for the Arkansas Association of Student Assistance Programs, the Clark County United Way Board, the Arkadelphia Chamber of Commerce Board, the Clark County Economic Development Board, and the Arkadelphia Regional Economic Development Alliance. She is a charter member of Chi Nu Omega Graduate Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Frances is a member of Mt. Morriah Missionary Baptist Church. She serves as Co-President of the Brown Springs Mt. Morriah Outreach Center. Frances is a retired educator. She and husband Terry are the parents of son T.J. (wife Dr. Shanea), daughter Desarae, and the grandparents of Mary Grace. They live on a small farm in east Clark County.
