Elton Buck, Director
Elton Buck, a lifelong resident of Clark County, has served on South Central Arkansas Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors since 2006. He has completed all National Rural Electric Cooperative Association courses, receiving the Credentialed and Board Leadership certifications, along with Director Gold Status. Over the years, he has served on the Boards of Arkansas Electric Cooperatives. Elton attended the 2018 NRECA Annual Meeting and TechAdvantage Conference, as well as the 2018 NRECA Washington Legislative Conference. Former service includes the Amity School District Board, Baptist Medical Center - Arkadelphia Advisory Board, Merchants and Planters Bank Board of Directors, Horizon Bank Board of Directors, Summit Bank Board of Directors, and President of Summit Bank. He is a member of Arkansas Farm Bureau, and a charter member of Amity Second Baptist Church. Elton and wife, Joan, live on a farm in the DeGray community near Arkadelphia in Clark County and have numerous business interests in their community. They enjoy spending time with family, which includes two daughters and their husbands, and six grandchildren.
